So you want to know more about us? We all wrote a little bit about ourselves on this page.
About us
Who are these people anyway? And what are they doing in my room?!
The internet has lots of places about Macs or other Apple products in general. Which is good, the only problem is that these places are usually made by people who like and own a Mac, for people who like and own a Mac. But what about the rest of us? The wannabes? The people who can't just shell out thousands of dollars/euros/whatever for every single new model, descended from the hills of Cupertino to us, mere mortals?
That's where MacDesperate comes in. A website made by people who really like to buy a Mac, but can't. Plus some other people who already have one, or have absolutely no interest in buying a Mac, whatsoever. So basically every type of Mac 'user' is represented!
Join us on our perilous and agonizing mission to buy a Mac. And if you could spare a buck to help us, we'd be really grateful! We might even develop some cool apps...when we have our Macs, eventually.
But first, meet our desperate team members!

Technical help, developer and so on
Being a student, dad and having a part time job at the same time, I'm busy. In my spare time I do some programming, currenly mainly Drupal which this site also runs on. That makes me the main developer for MacDesperate. I've created and changed modules to make this site work as it does. I don't really need a Mac right now, I'm more of a Linux geek. I am very interested in the Apple technology though. If you want to support me, skip me and donate to Rosana so she can get het MacBook Pro! She deserves it. Oh, there's more about me at Simply Life, my blog.
Rosana
MacDesperate Designer, creates desktop goodies, posts about laptop bags and other must have items.
As a stay-at-home mother I try to get by as a freelance designer. I really enjoy my job, but it just doesn't pay the bills (yet). So you can see that any donation to help me save for a MacBook Pro is well needed! I decided the MacBook Pro is the best choice for me, since I already have a decent PC at home. I would love to be able to work on different locations. And I would love to use the MBP for other activities such as gaming, photo editing and other graphical work. Besides begging for donations on MacDesperate, I'm also saving money by doing other projects. You can see my work on my portfolio.
Tales
News, Editorials, Reviews and countless other stuff.
I'm legally still a child, so there's the boring school stuff you really don't want to know about. Other than that it should interest you that I currently am a Mac user, hence I'm not in the 'donation program'. Our goal is to get everyone a Mac, unless they don't want one. My current Mac is a Macbook 4th generation from early 2008. The system is maxed out memory wise and is used as my primary machine. This machine is used for school, writing, browsing, photo editing and video editing. Besides these projects I'm also working as a moderator in the Cnet Live chat. You can find there and at Totally Tales!

Editorials and some other random stuff
As a person who's an IT student, and practically broke, it makes sense for someone like me to want a Mac, but at the same time don't own one yet, because of the obvious financial reasons. Macs have interested me for a pretty long time, but I often criticize some of Apple's 'ways of doing things' as well. Which is why I'm not all over them, like some jumping fanboy who stands in line for days at his local Apple store, just to get the latest iMac, which hasn't really changed much at all. Anyway, I do want to have a Mac, because I'm just tired of using Windows and the incredible burden of maintaining your system you're getting as some kind of 'gift' from Microsoft, just to keep everything working in the first place. Plus, some Mac-only apps just kick arse!
