The word's out. The buzz is all about the new Apple iPad, a tablet device. But why would I tell you all about it, when Apple has a great page about this online: http://www.apple.com/ipad
A revolutionary device for browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading e-books and much more.
I won't be saving money to get one for myself. I don't see this being useful - for me. First I'd like that MacBook Pro. Then maybe some other gadgets. I already have a great tablet to draw and other than that I don't see the iPad fit in my life very well. It's too big to be a gadget I just carry around. I'd be too afraid to damage the thin device.
How about you? Are you excited about the iPad? Are you going to buy one? Or, if you can't, save for one? I'm pretty curious. Over at Plurk, my buddies seem to have many different opinions. Some say it's another device they are not going to buy, others say they need it asap! I'm very curious to hear if you are planning on buying one and why, what are you doing to use it for primarily?

Re: iPad
I think i'm not going to buy one, I also don't think it's useful. But if you know me. I first said I will NEVER get an Mac I always stay with windows. And now i have a mac
. I also said "I don't want an iPhone" Look at me i have one
. I don't hope this will be the same. Because it is too expansive
Re: iPad
Yeah well, maybe if I had more money I would consider it - but still. I don't see this being a very useful gadget for me. It's kinda big, I'd prefer a regular PDA to do whatever I need to do. I'm not saying iPad isn't pretty and nice and all. But I'd rather spend that money saving for the MBP that I will not get within 5 years, or a DSLR camera, which I really, really need as well. Might not make sense to others, but I may need a camera even more than a MBP.
Btw I thought you got this MBP as a present from your parents? I asked if *YOU* are going to save for the iPad. If you got the MBP from your parents, you didn't spend *YOUR* money on it. I'm just saying... Maybe I misunderstood but anyways...
Gotta get some sleep now. Another early day tomorrow.

Re: iPad
I also think that the iPad is nice. But for me it's not useful. If i could use it as a drawing tablet for photoshop I would consider it too. But photoshop (or mac os x) isn't working on it so I think it's not useful. But I think I can't control myself and I will do everything to buy one
. When I have enough money I will donate to you so you can get your macbook within 5 years and you can start saving money for your camera (I think you need that too. Your a great photographer. You say you're not, but you ARE a great photographer) .
I think you misunderstood me (that's just my fault. I know that sorry). I buy everything myself. Except for my MBP (I payed 1 part of it but that's a long story). My iPhone, television, Wii, NDSi, smoke machine, Christmas stuff and iPod Touch are mine. I payed for them. My parents didn't give me the money. I worked or the money. And if I want an iPad I going to save for it myself.
If you still don't know what I mean just e-mail me. I will explain it (in dutch my English is worse
).
Re: iPad
Have you taken a look at the Brushes app for drawing? It works on iPhone, iTouch, and iPad.
Re: iPad
Oh wow I totally misunderstood, and now I can see why! Your sig says "Getting a MacBook pro with christmas". But your comment ended with "because it's really expensive" and followed by your sig it looked as if you said the MBP was expensive with Christmas. Lol! My bad. I need to write that down, sigs need a border or something, so it's clear and separated.
I also didn't mean to sound angry or whatever in my comment, sometimes my comments don't come across as well as I intended.

Re: iPad
I didn't thought you were angry at me. (because you told me). And is the problem fixed now (I see a border)?
Re: iPad
I'm intrigued by the possibilities the iPad presents. With an open SDK there are a lot more surprises to come, I'm sure. What I'm not sure about are the ergonomics (D ergonomie). Just how comfortable would typing on the screen be? Apple will be selling a keyboard dock, which should solve the problem, but makes the tablet less portable. I think I'll hold back six months or so, and read the reviews.
